Shoveling_again
Very appropriate title, Keir and I are shoveling (again). It snowed just over 30cm (a foot) on Friday. You sort of loose track at this point in the winter.

Isla is eating baby food now, her favorites include Sweet Potatoes, Corn and Banana and Strawberries.
NapTime
Naptime time for all the kids at the Hardie house. The hairy kid in the middle is our cat Cosmo. Cosmo is such a great cat with the kids. Keir absolutely adores Cosmo.

This is an "onboard" picture as Keir and I were sliding, my hand got very cold taking this!

Keir went sliding at a Birthday party for his friend Brooke(she is in the pink at the bottom of the hill). It was very cold this day but the kids enjoyed themselves.

Keir_Skating4
We took Keir skating again just after Xmas.
He used the red skating "helper" which lets kids learn skating by giving them something that supports their weight.
It was a nice day temperature wise and he really enjoyed himself.

Keir was able to stand by himself this year when we went skating.
Last year I don't think he had the strength to stand by himself.

Happy New Yea
Well OK so it is a little late to be wishing Happy New Year.
We had a nice Xmas break even though Jenny, Keir and Isla were all sick at one point over the holidays (my mom got really sick as well!)
I have a bunch of Xmas pics that I haven't had time to go through yet. I will post them soon

As mentioned in the running picture below, we have had a snow storm (actually we have had several big snow storms already this year)
The snow banks are huge on our street.
They are even bigger since this photo was taken.
They are taller than I am (so 6ft plus), I know cause when I shovel I got to get the snow WAY up there!

Soctia_Bank_Place10
These are a little late, but a couple of weekends ago my Mum's office had their kids X-mas party, it was at Scotia Bank Place (the place where the Ottawa Senators (pro hockey) play)
Keir got to "skate" on the ice and by skate I mean me hold him up. Actually he did very well.
It was pretty neat to skate on the ice in a 18,000 seat arena!

We had a cookie decorating part to Keir's birthday party. There was gingerbread and sugar cookie of all shapes to be decorating. Tables were covered with paper and plastic put down on the floor. The decorating went very well, all the kids made their own cookies.

Sold
OK, big news. The Hardie family has bought a new home! The house is on Long Island in Manotick (which is all part of Ottawa). The picture above shows the sold house on the for sale sign (not very well mind you). Jen and I are very very excited. Manotick is a wonderful place to raise a family, it has a small town feel but is only five minutes away from all the big city amenities. Keir will be able to walk to school and my work is a five minute walk away as well.
The house was built in 1970 so it is an older house, but the previous owners have kept it in good shape. We will do some projects to make the house our own.

We had a great Real Estate agent, now if I could just remember her name...., who did all the work (and worrying for us)
We don't take possession until Late June, now we just have to sell our house!
