Shoes!
Here is a pic of my running shoes, old shoes on the right replacements on the left ;-)
The Marathon is less than a month away and I am really looking forward to it. I had a busy winter of running (i guess you can tell that by looking at the shoes). I did a little running challenge for myself and ended up runnning 103 days in a row, starting Jan first and ending April 12th or there abouts. I feel very ready for the race.
I have been forced to take 3 days of running this week as I fell during a bike ride last sunday and messed my ankle up a bit (along with leaving some skin behind on the road!)
But if I am going to be a "glass half full guy" the 3 days rest probably did me pretty good and I am ready for the final push toward the big day.

Rainy Day
Well, it is a rainy saturday here in Ottawa and Jenny is working so it is just the boys together today!
Keir and I are doing fine, it is hockey playoff season here and the SENS are onto the second round. I have been teaching Keir about the good guys (all the players on the Senators) and the bad guys (the Pittsburgh Penguins (we beat them the last round), the New Jersey Devils (current opposition) and the referees!) There is a game tonight so lets hope the Sens keep rolling!
Jenny is doing great, she had an appointment a couple of week ago and the doctor said everything looks good (so we are happy)

That is too Fancy
Still slacking in the update department, but here goes:
This past weekend Keir went to his first dentist appointment. He was a little scared at first but by the end was pretty relaxed. It was a basic checkup were they counted his teeth (10 on top 10 on the bottom) and apparently braces might be in his future( I can hear the orthodontists cheering already). He is going back for his cleaning in two weeks time.
I thought I would also start to capture some of the funny/weird things Keir says, cause he is really coming up with some funny things.
This morning I was getting him dressed for daycare and tried to put a raincoat on him and he said " That jacket is too fancy, I don't want to wear it" A regular fashion critic!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, don't have a real excuse just busy.
Here in Ottawa it has been very cold for the last 3 weeks (it seems like for ever) so Keir hasn't been able to get outside much, today was the first "warm day" in a while. We took the opportunity to try Keir's skates out for the first time.
Keir got the skates for Xmas and the weather is only just now co-cooperating to let Keir try skating
Here we are tying up his skates.
We spent about 15mins on the ice, Keir did well but he still needs a lot of practice, by the end he was starting to get the hand of balancing on skates.

-Blowing Chunks-
Sorry for the rude title, but I am typing this in the midst of the battle field that is our basement. It looks like a war zone because Keir has thrown up over both couches in the basement. The cushions are strewn all over the place trying to dry out after being cleaned off from the throw up.
This is the first stomach flu that Keir has had and it is hitting him full force!
He is upstairs now trying to have a nap, hopefully he wakes up and the bug has past, because we don't have any couches left for him to throw up!

Here is Keir and I with Star Wars masks that we got him for his birthday party.
Keir turned 3 years old on the 16th. Unfortunatly I was away at a conference so I was not able to celebrate it with Jen and Keir. I got to talk to Keir in the morning of his birthday, so that was nice.
Once I was back we had Keir's party on the weekend, it was a small party with both sets of grandparents, GG (great grandmother), Keirs cousins and Aunt and Uncle Herrington.
Keir had a great time and was very excited to see everyone.

So last night was Halloween. Keir was a lion as you can see from the picture. He is roaring for the camera in the picture.
Keir had loads of fun trick or treat. Last year we went out but he really didn't know what was happening.
This year was different, I had to hold him back from running house to house. he was only scared at one house that had a big witch on the steps.

-Update-
Well i realized that I haven't actually written anything in here for a while. Lots of pics but no writting. So let's fix that. Everyone is doing well, Keir is on summer holidays from his daycare. The daycare closes down for July and August. SO Gran Hardie has filled in admirably for the month of July and now Gran Herrington is watching Keir for two weeks and then Jen and I will be on holidays. Summer here has been Very Hot! As a result we have been trying to get up to the cottage as much as possible. Keir loves it at the cottage and really likes in the water. He is "swimmming" (with a life jacket) without any assitance for short distances(see the pic).
Keir is also very verbal now and is talking in sentances and has no problem telling us what he is thinking!
Both Jen and I are looking forward to our time off at the end of the month and getting to spend some time togther as a family.
